Overall just a terrific experience. We'd been told by a different company (Stormguard) that we wouldn't qualify for insurance storm coverage - and we came to Brookens for a second opinion. They thought we should, and Brookens came out and walked with the insurance adjuster. Insurance did end up covering it, and Brookens worked with our insurance to get as much coverage as we could.

The work itself was quick and well done. I'd easily recommend Brookens to anyone.

We had an excellent experience with Brookens! From assisting with our roof inspection and insurance claim for hail, to the finished product, Brookens made the entire process easy. Rain was predicted for part of our replacement day, so they worked on our roof inspection sections to ensure it stayed dry. One section of our roof near the dormers was prone to future water damage, so they added additional flashing and completed our roof replacement the right way. I highly recommend working with Brookens!

Did an amazing job with a full tear and replace. All done in one day. The impressive part is the clean up. They were so thorough that when I went looking for and expecting to find some nails laying about and I only found 2 that were in the gutters. Amazing team and so helpful every step of the way. When our original salesman ended up leaving the company, Aaron (co-owner) scheduled a Zoom call with us personally to iron out the details of our contract. Phil (Project Manager) was extraordinarily professional and in communication with us the entire time. The crew was on time, quick, insanely efficient and got the job in ONE day, even when a storm came out of nowhere and it started downpouring.

When Oak Creek got a hailstorm in May 2024, I saw Brookens signs popping up in my neighborhood and decided to give them a call after seeing great reviews online. Within two days I had a detailed inspection report in hand. Brandon, the field rep, was extremely helpful through the process, even when my insurance wasn’t cooperating. When it finally got approved a year later, Brookens got started immediately and made every single step of the process smooth and clear. Brandon went over shingle options and broke down the cost to make it understandable. On the day of the new roof, the workers were on the roof by 7 as promised and were quick and efficient. They were also thorough in their cleanup. Phil the project manager was excellent to work with as well.

If you’re searching and debating between roofing companies, you really can trust that Brookens will do an excellent job from start to finish. It was truly an easy and stress-free process working with them and the new roof looks great. Would give more than 5 stars if I could!

Can’t say enough good things about working with Brookens! Their commitment to customer service is apparent every step of the way. After getting multiple roofing quotes, Brookens was the only company to point out hail damage. They helped me work with my insurance company and ultimately helped me secure a full roof replacement. Paperwork and scheduling was easy and the crew who did the work, especially project manager, Luis, did a great job and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. Really appreciated the walk through with Luis when the work was done. Couldn’t be happier with the whole process!

The crew worked hard to get the job done before the rain hit. Then, they finished while it rained hard. I think they even worked through lunch. It was a tough job in bad conditions but they took care of my house. I appreciate that more than anything.

Hail damage affected my house and Brian was my inspector. He was thorough and came back several times to see if my roof deteriorated more. He also provided a detailed report of his findings with photos of gutters, downspouts, roof, siding, etc. There was no pressure to choose them for whatever work needed to be done which is still getting figured out with insurance. Thanks for the pleasant experience with an unfortunate event.

Our experience working with Brookens Construction on our new roof was an easy and effortless experience from beginning to end. Sales crew were informative and non-intimidating. Office contact Megan Halverson was always available to help on insurance and other issues. Our primary lead contact on the work, Matt Egner, kept the work on schedule and the company's word kept. He was truly exceptional! The very hard working crew, under the unmatched crew leadership of Ken, did a remarkable job that day of keeping on schedule and keeping the site remarkably clean. We are very satisfied with the quality of the shingles, the work done, and the Brookens staff we met.

We hired Brookens Construction to replace our roof that was damaged from a recent storm, and are very pleased with the results. From the very beginning, their rep, Jon, was professional, courteous, prompt, and responsive with his communications. Jon came out to met with the claims adjuster and pointed out damaged areas the adjuster had missed. Jon has taken time to explain aspects of the project and answer any questions we had.

Brookens was able to schedule the work quickly and the communication with their office staff has been great with email updates about the project. The customer portal on their website is easy to access and has project documents we can view whenever we want.

The project manager, Cody, arrived early on project day and was great to deal with. He took numerous photos before, during, and after the job and kept in touch regarding the progress being made.

The quality of the crews work was outstanding and they were able to complete the job within a day. They were respectful of our property and kept the site clean. There were a few warped shingles but Brookens had the crew replace those quickly. It’s clear they take great pride in what they do.

They did my whole roof in one day! A few hiccups but Phil the project manager made sure everything was taken care of and was super responsive! Brandon also helped me for over a year to make sure my hail damage ended up getting covered by my insurance. Worth the wait.

After a major hailstorm hit our area in April, our neighborhood (like many others) was flooded with roofing contractors, both local and out-of-town. It was overwhelming trying to figure out who to trust. After a few local inspections, it became clear that Brookens stood head and shoulders above the rest. From the first interaction with Darren during the inspection and sales process, I could tell this local Dane County company was different.

Brookens far exceeded my expectations. I’m very detail-oriented (a bit OCD), and I’ve been absolutely thrilled with the service I’ve received. Everyone I interacted with—from Darren to Megan in the office, who helped coordinate everything, to Cody the on-site project manager—was professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Cody was there every step of the way during installation, always available to answer questions and provide updates. Even one of the owners came by to personally check in on the project, which speaks volumes about their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

The crew led by Miguel did outstanding work on the roof. They went above and beyond during the tear-off process, taking extra care to protect windows and my deck, and were meticulous about cleaning up nails and debris throughout the day. I work from home and checked in periodically—every time, I was impressed.

Before the install, I pointed out a few problem areas with water runoff, and the team took the time to mitigate and reroute water flow to improve drainage. The gutter installation, handled by Kasey and his team, was also flawless.

I made it clear from the beginning to them that I wanted a company that not only does quality work but stands behind it. Brookens has lived up to that and more. Their customer service is outstanding, and they truly put the homeowner first. I’ve already recommended them to several neighbors and friends, and will continue to do so. Brookens did all the dealings with insurance, which made the process easy and much less stressful. William Knight was the initial inspector and sales guy, and was great to work with! I changed my mind on colors and vent options, but he was patient the whole time, and helpful. I don't know about construction, like how to know if it was done right, but it rained for 2 days and there are no leaks as far as I can tell, and the team was so efficient. The roof looks great! Kacey and his team put in the new larger gutters and downspouts, and was also great to work with and gave helpful advice. There's no water in the basement. Bonus that the work was all done in one day! They've got the whole process down to a science. Oh, they re-roofed the shed too 😁

I originally began the roof replacement process as an insurance claim. It was denied twice. I spoke with our sales person about having it done ourselves, out of pocket. I never heard from him again. After reaching out several times, I contacted the main office and was told that particular person no longer worked there.
I was put in touch with another sales person who was quick to respond. He brought samples to the house and updated our quote. Upgrades were presented, but not pushed. Price was better than I had found elsewhere. The flashing kit for our skylights was no longer available, yet did not result in any price reduction to leave it as is.
Work was scheduled a few weeks after the deposit was paid. Material delivery was smooth. Workers arrived early and ready to go. Their Crew Chief was friendly and listened to my concerns and requests that our new patio and deck would be unharmed. Not long after, the Project Manager arrived. I discussed with him my concerns about our deck as well. Tarps were placed over parts of it. The second day no tarps were used. Ultimately our Azek deck boards were scratched by a ladder.
Be aware that you will have no access to your driveway nor garage doors during the process. At times we had difficulty exiting the home from any exterior door. Materials tossed into the grass caused patches to die (see photos) in front and back yards. Workers left behind a rake, a magnet, a few nails, and small bits of trash.
We did a final walk-around, but it's hard to know from the ground what it looks like on the roof. I do have faith in the product, warranty, and installation abilities of these professionals, which should all mean good things for the future of our roof.
