FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Can you inspect the damage to my roof and provide a quote for repairs?

A: Yes! We can assess the damage to your roof and provide you with a repair quote. Regarding working with your insurance company, it’s important to note that insurance carriers will typically write their estimate for the repairs, regardless of how many assessments you may obtain from contractors. We utilize the same estimating software that insurance carriers use to ensure accuracy. Typically, we will let the insurance adjuster provide the first estimate after the claim is approved. Then we will review it for accuracy and let them know if any industry standard line items are missing. This helps to ensure that the estimate is as accurate as possible and that all necessary repairs are included.

Q: Can you work with my insurance company to handle the claim?

A: Absolutely. We have extensive experience working with homeowners in WI who have experienced hail damage to their roofs. We understand that navigating the insurance process can be confusing and overwhelming, so we have a team of experts who have worked with all major insurance carriers and have experience handling thousands of claims. We will work closely with your insurance company to ensure all necessary repairs are covered, and the claim is processed promptly. We aim to make the process as seamless and stress-free for you as possible.

Q: How long will the roof replacement take?

A: In most cases, roofing replacement projects can be completed in just one day. However, gaining approval from your insurance carrier can sometimes prolong the timeline. Rest assured, we handle all the correspondence with the insurance, so you don’t have to. To get started, all you need to do is let us know when you would like us to come by for an inspection. Inspections usually take around 30 minutes. We will provide a detailed report outlining any damage observed on your property. This will give you a clear idea of the extent of the damage and the work that will need to be done. We’ll work with you to schedule a time that is convenient for you and your family, and we’ll make sure to keep you updated throughout the process.

Q: Will the repairs match the current color of my roof?

A: The decision is ultimately yours when choosing the product and color for your new roof. We understand that your home reflects your style and want to ensure that the new roof complements your home’s existing aesthetic. We will provide you with a variety of different shingles and color options to choose from. If you prefer to keep the same color as your current roof, that is completely fine, or if you want to change it, we are happy to help you with that as well. You can make the final decision on the product and color for your new roof and be confident that it will be to your satisfaction.

Q: Do you offer any warranties on your work?

A: Yes, we are certified through most shingle manufacturers to offer an extended warranty through the manufacturer on the products we use. In addition, we also offer our lifetime workmanship warranty on all of our total roof replacement installs. This means that if you ever experience any issues with the workmanship of your new roof, we will take care of it at no additional cost to you. We stand behind the quality of our work, and our warranty is a testament to that. You can have peace of mind knowing that your new roof is protected.

This will give you an idea of the quality of our work and the range of services we offer.

Q: Can you provide a detailed explanation of your process?

A: When repairing hail damage, we have a detailed process ensuring the job is done correctly. The first step is to inspect the roof and provide the customer with a detailed report of any damage that has been sustained. From there, we will work closely with the insurance adjuster to process the claim promptly. Once the claim has been approved, we will discuss the project details with the homeowner, including the type of materials used, warranties, and timelines. After an agreement is established, we will schedule the repairs conveniently for the homeowner. The repairs are typically completed in one day. We conduct a final walkthrough to ensure the customer is delighted with the work. We also take care of the paperwork and certifications necessary for receiving the final payment from the insurance. After our final bill is paid, we’ll register your warranty with the shingle manufacturer, and you’ll be on your way to not worrying about your roof any longer!

Q: Can you waive my deductible?

A: As a roofing contractor, we cannot legally waive or discount your deductible. A deductible is something that your insurance company sets, and it’s the amount you need to pay before your insurance kicks in. If any contractor tells you they can waive your deductible, be careful and check their motives. It is 100% illegal and punishable in the State of WI.
However, there is a legal way to lower the amount you have to pay for your deductible: by choosing not to have all the repairs done at once. For example, if your roof and gutters were damaged by hail and your insurance company agrees to pay for the repairs, you can choose only to get your roof fixed and use the money set aside to fix your gutters to help lower the cost of your deductible.
It’s important to note that you still may have to pay some of the deductible, but this is a legal way to offset the cost. You will keep the difference if the ACV (actual cash value) amount exceeds your deductible. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. We will work with you to understand your options and provide the best solution.

Q: What is the payment method or schedule for the repairs?

A: We request a down payment for any out-of-pocket expenses or upgrades. When work begins, we will collect the actual cash value (ACV) check from our homeowner. The final invoice will be sent after all work is complete and the last insurance check is released to the homeowner.

Q: Can you guys help with a denied claim?

A: If your claim has been denied, we can help you. We have much experience assisting homeowners in obtaining a complete roof replacement settlement after their adjuster said there was no damage or denied coverage. If your roof has actual damage, we will document the damage in a detailed damage report, including the storm date, National Weather Service data, and photos of the injury sustained at the property, and formally request a second inspection. In most cases, during the second inspection, the claims are approved. Suppose the claim is denied a second time: In that case, we can refer you to a public adjuster to review and discuss options to continue the battle based on your insurance policy. Based on our data, roughly 67% of denied claims get approved during the second inspection and do not require the need for a public adjuster or property loss attorney.
