Residential Repair Technician Job Duties & Requirements
Objective: To harness extensive expertise in residential construction and repairs, ensuring top-tier maintenance and repair services. The ideal candidate will excel in addressing various home maintenance needs, from framing and siding to roofing, windows, and doors. This role focuses on delivering exceptional quality, adhering to safety standards, and implementing efficient solutions. The candidate’s ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain precise documentation, and communicate effectively with their team and clients will be essential in driving customer satisfaction and upholding Brookens Constructions’ reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of home repairs including framing, siding, roofing, windows, and doors.
- Conduct detailed inspections to identify and diagnose issues in residential style structures.
- Execute repair and maintenance tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and implement effective repair solutions.
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and building codes.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with the team and clients about repair needs and progress.
- Maintain and manage tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and accounted for at all times.
- Document repair work and maintain accurate records of services performed.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and new repair techniques.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in residential construction and repairs, with a focus on roofing, framing, siding, windows, and doors.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes.
- Valid driver’s license
- Travel to project locations within the Madison, Fox Valley, and Milwaukee areas
- Certification in carpentry or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Job Type:
- $65,000-$75,000 salary
- Full-time
- Monday- Saturday
- Hours vary
- Up to 75% travel on the road (valid driver’s license required)
Work Location: Southeastern Wisconsin including Madison, Milwaukee, Appleton and surrounding areas.
